How To Object An Application

We have created a guide as to how you can submit an objection for a planning application on the MDC website as well as email and letter forms. If you are still unsure after reading the guide, we have created a visual guide to clearly show how to object Here. Each application has a unique reference number which can be found on the relevant blog post on our website.

We also have an Information & Statistics page which can help provide facts and figures to back up your objection.

MDC Website

Step 1.  Register on the MDC website planning page with your email address. If you already have an account, simply login.

Step 2. Once logged-in, go to the SEARCH page then PLANNING and then SIMPLE SEARCH. You can then input the reference.

Step 3. Click COMMENTS and then MAKE A COMMENT. There will be a drop-down box that will ask which type of letter (Comment, Support or Objection) and a check-box that asks your stance (Object, Support and Neutral). Choose OBJECT for both of these.

Step 4. Time to comment!

Our advice is to use Word / Notepad or a similar application on your PC to write your objections and then paste into the comments section. This is because the MDC website will log you out if you have been inactive for some time.

List all of your objections (facts and statistics to help back up your comments can be found Here) and when you are done click SUBMIT. You will receive an automated email to verify your objection has been received. These can take up to 2 weeks to appear on the site.
