New Application: Taylor Wimpey Sheepcotes Lane

Updated: Aug 20, 2023

Planning Application Reference: 23/00730/SCR

Valid From 19/07/2023

Developer: Taylor Wimpey

Letter Received By MDC: 19/07/2023

Application Live On MDC Since: 24/07/2023

Taylor Wimpey have tried to bypass conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The EIA is an important aspect of a planning proposal which looks at how the development will affect local matter such as noise pollution, light pollution, flora and fauna etc.

Residents of Homefields have stated there are bats, badgers, foxes and pheasants amongst many other forms of wildlife.

Without the EIA it will be seen as less reason for objection which makes the process both quicker and cheaper for Taylor Wimpey.

At the moment, objections should be based on the need for an EIA rather than the developments themselves. This is because a full application will come in due course and objections regarding the developments themselves will be better suited to the full application. We will post an update of any further news.
